We can arrange to bring live animals and exciting science presentations to YOU! Outreach presentations are available for your school, church, camp, or child care facility.

Outreach Rates

Animal Outreach: $85 first program, $55 additional program (*plus mileage). Not available March-May.

WHYSci: $100 (*plus mileage). Discounts available for multiple bookings.

*For visits outside the City of Greensboro, a $5/mile fee (one way) is charged.

Greensboro Science Center Outreach Programs bring exciting science presentations to your school, church, camp or child care facility!

Animal Outreach

Students will have the opportunity to meet and touch a variety of small animals while learning the special features of each species. Typical animals introduced (up to five) may include a snake, turtle, hedgehog, ferret, owl, chinchilla, frog, lizard, or rabbit. We can often accommodate special requests to concentrate on a particular category of animals (reptiles, birds, endangered animals, etc.). The presentation lasts about 45 minutes. Not available March-May.

WHYSci

Bring hands-on programs from the Greensboro Science Center to your preschool or daycare. This program will afford your students an opportunity to develop a love for science, and encourage their natural curiosity. The experience includes general introduction, instruction and two or three "experiments."
