UPCOMING OPENINGS
Volunteer Dive Program
We will also have a volunteer dive program. We plan to start recruiting volunteer divers by mid-June. All updates about those openings including requirements and application deadlines will be posted here and on our Facebook page. No phone calls please.
Zoo Docents
For those interested in our zoo docent program, please check this page for updates. We are planning a mid-summer docent class following the opening of the SciQuarium. Applications will be posted at that time.
Volunteers are responsible for introducing the public to small animals, running labs, assisting in classes, and helping with special events.
ABOUT VOLUNTEERING
Each day, the GSC welcomes over twenty volunteers. Those volunteers are a vital part of our organization. By interacting with our visitors, they make lasting impressions. Volunteers assist in classes, work in our zoo and labs, put their green thumbs to good use, and serve as exhibit guides. We have many different opportunities that fit a wide variety of interests and age groups.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIESClick each volunteer opportunity to find more information about the qualifications for the position, a description of daily duties, and a listing of typical shift times. Not all volunteer opportunities are available at all times. Please see the section on Current Openings to find out if we are accepting applications. If an application is not posted, we do not have any volunteer opportunities available. | ||
