FAQs

I’m running late and won’t arrive by the time on my ticket! Can I still get in?

Yes, we will allow you to enter at a later time.

Can I check in earlier than my scheduled time?

Please plan to check in no more than 5 - 10 minutes before your scheduled time. This will create a more enjoyable time for all of our guests by minimizing wait times and maximizing views and experiences.

Can I buy tickets on site?

Yes, tickets can be purchased both online and on site, however capacity is limited, so please check availability online before arrival. Ticket sales end one hour before closing.

Are discounts available for groups?

Yes, groups of 10 or more paying individuals receive the group rate of $16 per person ($14 per person during Discount Days). To schedule your group, please send an email to WWLgroupreservations@greensboroscience.org with your preferred visit date and time, the number in your group, and a phone number where we can reach you during regular business hours as well as an alternate phone number if applicable. If you are a GSC member, please note your member ID as well!

I purchased tickets in advance, but now I have a schedule conflict. Can I exchange my tickets for a new day/time?

Yes, our team would be happy to assist you with an exchange. Give us a call at 336-288-3769 x1355 or send an email to winterwonderlights@greensboroscience.org; be sure to share your reference ID so that we can locate your tickets. Please note that refunds will not be given. If you are unable to attend, please consider your admission a donation to the Greensboro Science Center.

In the event of bad weather, can I get a refund?

This is a rain or shine event. If the event is cancelled by the Greensboro Science Center due to extreme weather causing unsafe conditions, power outage, etc, an alternative date will be offered. Refunds will not be given. If you are unable to attend, please consider your admission a donation to the Greensboro Science Center.

What should I wear?

This event is indoor/outdoor - with most of the event taking place outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Coat/umbrella checks are not available.

Will the animals be out?

Animals will not be on exhibit during this event.

Can I bring my own food/drinks?

Outside food and drinks are not permitted. Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the event.

What food will be available?

On site food options include:
• Rockaway Express food truck, daily from 5:30pm - close, click here for menu
• Chick-fil-A on select evenings (November 20-21, 27-28; December 4-5, 10-12, 14-19, 21-23) beginning at 5:30pm, while supplies last.
• Meerkat Café food tents, featuring hot cocoa, apple cider, cookies, cotton candy, kettle corn and more.

Where do I park?

Parking is available free of charge on a first come, first served basis.

I left something in my car! Can I leave and come back?

Yes, please see a guest services associate to receive a hand stamp to show upon reentry.

What are your COVID-19 safety precautions?

We will continue to abide by all state mandates and follow best practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Our current guidelines, which detail modified operations and safety procedures, can be found on the homepage of our website at www.greensboroscience.org.
