Pygmy Hippos
Saturday, May 18: Endangered Species Day

Explore the zoo and aquarium to learn more about the endangered species here at the GSC and discover ways to support their wild counterparts. This year, we are shining a spotlight on pygmy hippos and the conservation initiatives surrounding them. Swing by the front lobby to find out about the endangered species in the aquarium, and snag a scavenger hunt—complete it for a chance to win a unique animal painting crafted by resident artists, Holly Berry and Huckleberry!

Don’t miss our education table at the pygmy hippo exhibit, where you can learn more about their habitat and explore how to make a difference in their conservation efforts. New this year, guests will be able to see the winning submissions from the Endangered Species poster contest!

Endangered Species Day activities are included with general admission or GSC membership.
