Junior Docent

Junior Docent Program

If you enjoy talking with people and interacting with animals, consider applying for our junior docent program! Volunteers are a vital part of our organization. The junior docent program will be a very competitive program. We expect much from our teen volunteers. In return, we will help you develop valuable skills that you can use in school and in life. Junior Docents will be able to help engage with and educate guests by helping to monitor our Hands-on Harbor touch tank, Friendly Farm contact yard, or in the Cole Family Monarch Conservation Center and Butterfly House. Assisting in these areas is vital to our guests being able to enjoy these experiences and you will be able to learn from our staff and docent team. This is a great way to get in some volunteer hours while experiencing what it is like to be a docent at the GSC.
