Robotics Ambassador

About the Robotics Ambassador Program

The Robotics Ambassador (RA) program participants will demonstrate the robotics capabilities of the Greensboro Science Center using a cart/table setup throughout the museum (usually in the main lobby) and robotics or other engineering-related interactive materials. Being a RA requires good people skills with all ages, a passion for sharing your knowledge of Legos, robotics, science, and the ability to be self-directed and responsible. You’ll interact with our visitors during every shift and contribute to their positive experiences here at the Science Center. The goal of this program is to give our volunteers some life experience interacting with the public and working with various materials while also inviting the general public to come to learn about the materials.

FAQs

Robotics Ambassadors are an important part of the guest experience at the Greensboro Science Center. RA’s invite the general public to experience the world of LEGO and robotics in a hands on way. This is also a great opportunity for the RA’s to talk about the other LEGO/Robotics opportunities we offer at the GSC.

RA’s commit to two 2-hour shifts a month. For the fall this would be October-December. For the Spring this would be March-May.

The fee for our RA program is $5.00. This includes the cost of your nametag and your volunteer t-shirt which you will wear during your shifts. This is a one-time fee.
