Welcoming Every Guest
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Accessibility is at the heart of our mission to inspire curiosity and connect our community through science and conservation. We continually work to remove barriers and ensure every guest feels welcome, supported, and able to explore the Greensboro Science Center with comfort and confidence.
Sensory Support
Guests with Developmental Disabilities & Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
We offer resources and programs designed to support guests with sensory or developmental needs.
Sensory Backpacks
A limited number of sensory backpacks are available to enhance the experience of guests with sensory-processing differences. Backpacks are free to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis with a photo ID.
Sensory Friendly Nights
The Greensboro Science Center hosts Sensory Friendly Nights, after-hours events created for guests with sensory-related challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder or PTSD. Guests can explore at their own pace in a calmer environment with fewer crowds, lights, and sounds.
