Now in its sixth season, Winter Wonderlights, presented by Cone Health, invites guests to explore a dazzling mix of light, sound, and seasonal joy. Experience indoor sock skating, watch snow fall under the lights, and enjoy handcrafted, Chinese-style lanterns inspired by animals from Expedition Rainforest: The Greensboro Biodome. Step inside the Merry Mermaid Grotto, where mermaids share stories from under the sea. It’s the Triad’s favorite holiday tradition, made new again each year.

We recommend purchasing tickets online ahead of time to guarantee entry. Limited same-day tickets may be available on-site until two hours before closing.
Winter Wonderlights is a rain-or-shine event. If extreme weather makes conditions unsafe, an alternate date will be offered. Refunds are not available.
Yes! Greensboro Science Center members and groups of 15 or more receive discounted admission. Reciprocal memberships and SNAP/EBT discounts are not valid for this event.
Yes. The event path is wheelchair-friendly, and a limited number of wheelchairs are available at Guest Services with photo ID.
