Beginning April 1, 2026, guests can step into the lush, layered world of a tropical rainforest in Rainforest Adventure, a fully interactive traveling maze exhibit. Designed for all ages, this exhibit combines physical activity with hands-on challenges and discovery.
Why Rainforests Matter
Rainforests are essential to life on Earth. They support the water cycle, influence weather patterns, and help keep natural systems in balance around the world.
They are also home to more than half of Earth’s plant and animal species. Many of these species are found nowhere else, making rainforests one of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth.

How it Works
Discover how your choices connect to rainforest conservation as you explore each layer of the rainforest.
Start high in the emergent layer and make your way down through the rainforest. Answer questions along the way. Correct answers move you forward, while wrong turns lead to dead ends.
Explore all four layers of the rainforest: emergent, canopy, understory, and forest floor.
Climb & Explore
Swing like a spider monkey and take on physical challenges inspired by life in the rainforest canopy. Test your balance, strength, and coordination as you move through this active space. Discover how animals use movement to survive, find food, and navigate their environment.
Solve & Discover
Answer questions and follow clues as you make your way through the maze. Each decision helps guide your path, with correct answers moving you forward and wrong turns leading to new challenges. Along the way, uncover fascinating facts about rainforest habitats and the plants and animals that live there.
Meet Rainforest Species
Encounter incredible animals with unique adaptations that help them survive in the rainforest. Learn how different species find food, stay safe, and thrive in each layer of the forest. From camouflage to climbing skills, discover what makes these animals so well suited to their environment.
Learn Through Play
Explore, experiment, and learn through hands-on experiences designed for all ages. Interactive activities encourage curiosity and problem-solving while making complex ideas easy to understand. Every part of the exhibit invites guests to learn by doing.
