The Greensboro Science Center internship program provides college and graduate students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Interns gain practical experience, develop professional and leadership skills, and make meaningful connections with industry experts in fields including zoology, education, finance, and creative services. Many interns also earn course credit by completing their school’s internship requirements.
Internships are offered during the spring, summer, and fall semesters, though not all departments recruit each term. Areas that may offer internships include:
- Aquarium
- Conservation & Research
- Creative Services
- Education
- Finance
- Terrestrial Animal Care
Each placement offers hands-on learning designed to help students gain a competitive edge and contribute directly to the GSC’s mission:
“Inspiring curiosity and connecting communities through science and conservation.”
All internships are unpaid, and housing is not provided. Completion of an internship does not guarantee future employment at the GSC.
